- ➤ Crestview junior Naomi Gearheart won the 145-pound OHSAA state wrestling title yesterday, making her the first female state champion in Richland County; she finished the season with a (47-3) record and will defend her title as a senior next year. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Clear Fork sophomore Anthony Oscar became the school’s first state wrestling champion after defeating Highland’s Kasey Clark (12-1) at the OHSAA tournament on Sunday, Mar. 15. His win marks a historic moment for the Clear Fork wrestling program. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Ontario senior Aiden Ohl captured the Division II 120-pound state title on Sunday, March 15 with a 7-2 win over Woodridge's Gavin Genovese, making him the first from Ontario to win state since 1999.
