ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Buc-ee’s is planning a travel center at the I-71/Ohio 39 interchange in Mansfield that may create 200 jobs, county officials said March 19. The chain offers pay from $18 per hour with leadership roles paying more and benefits (including 401(k) and paid time off) along with strict uniform rules. Mansfield News Journal

- ➤ Sherry Branham Fonner, the executive director of the Richland County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services, will retire on March 31. The board will begin planning for new leadership to continue supporting mental health services in the community. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Richland County commissioners asked all 18 townships about banning industrial solar farms, and 11 chose to ban them while local groups and IBEW plan to campaign for a countywide vote this May.
