CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 21-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for attempted murder after he stabbed a man in the head inside an apartment on Koogle Road in Mifflin Township during a mental health call; he fled by running across I-71 during a foot chase before being captured by highway patrol and sheriff deputies—a $100,000 bond was set and the victim was taken to a Mansfield hospital before being moved to Columbus. - ➤ Ohio's wild turkey season will soon begin as youth hunters in Mansfield can participate on April 12 and 13 with a youth hunting license + permit, while adult hunters in the South Zone will start from April 19 through May 18 under state guidelines. Hunters must complete game checks by 11:30 p.m. on the day the turkey is taken to help monitor populations. Mansfield News Journal
