GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Textla data from the FTC and FCC shows Ohio has 859 scam call complaints per 100,000 residents — the highest rate in the nation — likely due to large population centers and targeted scams; experts advise residents to use the National Do Not Call Registry and report suspicious calls. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ At a public meeting Thursday at Downtown Mansfield Inc.—more than 50 attendees heard Mayor Jodie Perry explain the $19.3M Main Street Improvement Project, which started in late February and will take 18 months to convert one-way streets to two-way traffic and improve sidewalks, lighting, and water mains for a better downtown look. The project will keep at least one lane open during construction, notify residents of closures in advance, and shift the downtown car show to the county fairgrounds for the next two years.
