CULTURE NEWS

  • Renaissance Theatre will host a concert staging of Fiddler on the Roof on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m., where the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra will perform live with Broadway veteran Bruce Sabath and local talent—bringing the classic musical to life on stage.   • First English Lutheran Church is a historic Romanesque church at 53 Park Avenue West in downtown Mansfield that still hosts its original congregation. Its cornerstone was laid in September 1891 and the building was dedicated on October 21, cost 40,000 dollars, and seats 1,600+ it was known as the largest Protestant church body in Ohio.  1812Blockhouse

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and DEW Director Stephen D. Dackin announced today that 367 Ohio schools earned the Purple Star designation for the Class of 2025 to support military families. The award gives each school a three-year period (including 115 first-time awardees) to help military-connected students thrive.  WMAN

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • The housing market in Mansfield and Richland County surged early in 2025 as median listing prices in Mansfield hit $175,900 in February—a 17.3% increase from last year—and county figures also rose, with more homes on the market and faster sales times.   • The Richland County Baseball Power Poll now names Lucas as No. 1 after five straight wins — including victories over Crestline, South Central, and Mansfield Christian — with strong pitching from Brady Anschutz.
