- ➤ Beyond Hello™ Mansfield opened the city’s first licensed cannabis dispensary at 1515 Lexington Avenue on April 19—its doors welcomed medical and adult-use customers with a curated selection of premium cannabis products. It operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with grand opening specials available through May 4. 1812Blockhouse
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Discovery School raised over $15,000 in its first year for its scholarship fund, which was set up in November to help low-income students access a hands-on education. The school is accepting donations for the 2025 tax year (through April 15th, 2026) as it finalizes its donation and scholarship application process. Mansfield News Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Richland County voters will decide on several local taxes and resolutions on May 6 in the primary election, with proposals from Crestline, Plymouth, Galion, Shelby, Mifflin Township, Madison Township and Weller Township. The ballots include renewals and new measures—such as a library tax in Shelby and a police tax in Plymouth—that would cost between $35 and $192.50 a year for a $100,000 property. - ➤ The Millsboro Road Trail project is underway along Millsboro Road in Mansfield to build a 3,300-foot, 10-foot-wide concrete path with a grass buffer that connects Trimble Road and Marion Avenue. City Engineer Bob Bianchi has led the effort since its February 11 start and the work, which had reached 3% progress by April 15, is scheduled for substantial completion by August with finishing touches into October—its route takes a scenic detour near the Mansfield Art Center—. 1812Blockhouse
