- ➤ Gas prices in Ohio rose last week, reaching an average of $3.12 per gallon of regular fuel on Monday—up from $2.94 the previous week and 8% higher than a year ago. The national average was slightly higher at $3.14 per gallon. Mansfield News Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ohio State students can still register for online summer courses at OSU Mansfield, which offer arts and sciences that count toward general education requirements—classes start May 6. Students from any campus may enroll to earn needed credits this summer. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Alex Trolian, a junior at Lexington High School, earned a perfect ACT score of 36 while achieving top marks on state exams and advanced courses and balancing research, tutoring, and theater work (she helped in two local productions) during a busy school year. - ➤ The Ohio Department of Development announced $6.8 million in grants to help low- and moderate-income Ohioans with home repairs, accessibility upgrades, down payment assistance, and homebuyer education.
