- ➤ Mansfield has been recognized as a Tree City USA for 30 years and the city will hold special activities throughout 2025 to mark this milestone. Mayor Jodie Perry said events will include tree plantings, an educational session with Malabar Intermediate School, additions to the Walking Arboretum and a public meeting on Oct. 2. - ➤ Downtown Mansfield is undergoing a Main Street makeover as crews finished a new water main between 3rd and 5th Streets on Friday and now work overnight on 2nd to 3rd Streets and Park Avenue—utility updates will finish in early June while businesses remain open with limited lane closures and adjusted traffic patterns. The project also includes installing traffic signal foundations and preparing sidewalks, with free on-street parking continuing during construction. 1812Blockhouse

- ➤ Artists can submit work in any medium for the Color Our World exhibition at the Mansfield-Richland County Public Library this summer — the show runs with the library’s summer reading program.
