- ➤ North Central State College held its graduation ceremony on Friday, May 11 at the Campus Recreation Center where students received diplomas & celebrated reaching a major milestone in their education. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Students of all ages celebrated graduation on May 8 when nearly 400 graduates attended commencement at the OSU/NCSC campus. Mansfield News Journal

- ➤ Mansfield Fire Lt. Adam Compton, who grew up at the fire department, was promoted and now takes on new duties with support from his wife (Reagan) and son (Sterling). Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Tamela Gerhart (67) died May 5 of natural causes in Mansfield; the Richland County Coroner's Office seeks help from the public to identify her next of kin for a proper burial. Contact details were provided in the announcement. Mansfield News Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Richland Public Health will host GuardCare 2027 next summer (July 30 to Aug. 1) at OSU Mansfield campus. The three-day event will offer free medical, dental, and vision care and seeks local groups and volunteers to help with planning. Mansfield News Journal

- ➤ High school baseball coaches met on May 10 to set tournament trails for the upcoming OHSAA games. The Mansfield Senior Tygers will travel to Lima Shawnee at 5 p.m. on May 19 for a sectional semifinal game. Mansfield News Journal
