Cicada season is here in Ohio and small or new trees may be at risk when egg-laying cicadas cause branch damage—local gardeners can protect trees with $20 nets as advised by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry.
The insects will be active for 3-4 weeks as the weather warms this spring.
