- ➤ Ohio gas prices dropped last week to an average of $2.94 per gallon from $3.11 as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration — state prices were about 5.7% lower than the national average of $3.12 and remain nearly the same as a month earlier. Mansfield News Journal

- ➤ Madison claimed a share of the Ohio Cardinal Conference softball championship on Wednesday when Campbell Kiser hit an RBI sac fly that gave the Rams a 2 to 1 win over Ashland—putting them in position to win outright in Game 2 on Friday. The Rams will then prepare for the district semifinal against the winner of the Ashland versus Mansfield Senior matchup—adding focus as they approach tournament play. Mansfield News Journal
