- ➤ Seven JCPenney stores in California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, North Carolina, New Hampshire and West Virginia will close by May 25, while none of the 25 Ohio stores are scheduled to shut down. - ➤ The Clear Fork Colts—who struggled with slow starts during the season—scored quickly for a five-inning run-rule win over Shelby on May 20 in the Division IV district semifinals. They improved to 16-10 and will play Lexington for the district championship at 5 p.m. tomorrow in Galion. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ The Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference announced its all-league softball and baseball teams and named 15 softball players and 11 baseball players from Richland County—each honored for strong batting and pitching performance. - ➤ The District 9 division of the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association released its all-district baseball teams for the 2025 season.
