  • Due to a rainy forecast, the organizers postponed the Peace on My Block Community Fair from today to May 29 at Arlin Field—Mansfield City Schools will follow their regular schedule on May 23.  Mansfield News Journal

  • Majority Floor Leader Marilyn John introduced House Bill 276 to protect 340B drug discounts and improve access to affordable prescriptions for patients in Ohio—supporting centers like Third Street Family Health Center in Mansfield—while the bill awaits review by the House Health Provider Services Committee.  Mansfield News Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • Clear Fork Colts repeated as Richland County Baseball Power Poll champions after finishing 6—1 against county teams and being the only team with fewer than 10 losses this season. They now head into the district tournament as the No.2 overall seed to build on their success.  Mansfield News Journal
  • Clear Fork’s Katrina Rogers overcame a slow start and a torn ACL injury by raising her hitting average to .607 with 17 hits and three home runs in her last 10 games — a turnaround that now makes her a key player as her team prepares to face Lexington Lady Lex today at 5 p.m. in Galion. Her improved performance comes after a switch to second base and an extended recovery that rebuilt her confidence.  Mansfield News Journal
  • The Ohio Cardinal Conference announced its 2025 all-league softball honors as Lexington’s Makaree Chapman was named Player of the Year and Madison’s Caliyah Clapper earned Pitcher of the Year while Tim Niswander led the Rams to their first outright championship since 2013. In baseball, Brady Bowen and Michael Franz were honored as Pitcher and Player of the Year while Mansfield Senior players Jaylynn Garris, Autumn Backensto, Guy Trader, Joshua Malone and Grayson Sanders received honorable mentions.  Mansfield News Journal
