Good morning, Mansfield.

Last week, Richland County high school athletes excelled in district meets across baseball, track, softball and tennis.

Multiple teams and individuals from Clear Fork, Crestview, Lexington and Mansfield Christian won titles and advanced to regionals—showing strong local athletic talent.

Clear Fork coach Gabe Kennedy trusted sophomore Mason Ball when he gave him the start on Monday, May 26 in a district semifinal game against Vermilion, and Ball pitched 6 2/3 innings while allowing one unearned run on four hits with nine strikeouts to help the Colts win 3-1—Clear Fork will face Perkins in the Division IV championship game on Thursday at 5 p.m. back at Willard.

Clear Fork's Julian Mills was voted Male Athlete of the Week last week with 3,721 votes—voting for this week's winner is now open until 7 p.m. on Friday.
