- ➤ The Works announced on May 27 that Frederick Boll from the Buckeye Imagination Museum will assume the executive director role on Aug. 1 — replacing Janice LoRaso who resigned in December. Boll said he is excited to lead the institution into its next chapter of creativity and community engagement. Mansfield News Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The state auditor's office found former Troy Township fiscal officer Dean Strohminger must repay $8,094.43 in late fees and sales taxes that accrued from April 2012 to February 2023. Township trustees said his refusal to accept help led to the charges and a temporary fiscal officer is now assisting the office + current officer Betsy Michalski keeps the accounts in order. - ➤ The Madison Rams softball team won an 8-2 Division III regional semifinal game against Wapakoneta on May 28 at Shelby High School—using error-free defense and 15 hits from eight players—to secure their advance. They will face Holland Springfield in the regional championship game on May 30 at 5 p.m. Mansfield News Journal
