- ➤ Mansfield City Schools hosted the second Peace on My Block Community Fair at Arlin Field on Thursday evening after a one-week delay due to bad weather. The event aimed to bring the community together after recent gun violence and homicides involving young people and featured a flyover by two F-16s, more than 10 food trucks, rides, and over $20,000 in donations—showing strong local support—and set a hopeful tone for summer. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ METRICH detectives and the Richland County Sheriff's Office arrested a 49-year-old Mansfield woman on drug charges after a search on Possum Run Road—where 14 grams of suspected cocaine, cash, a handgun and other evidence were seized—and she is now held at Richland County Jail with further charges set to be forwarded.
