GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mansfield City Council voted 8-0 Tuesday to rezone 16 industrial park parcels around Airport West and Cairns Road from I-1 to I-2 to help attract higher-paying manufacturing jobs—even though one resident opposed the change. The council also approved several police-related measures including state and federal grants to improve local public safety and updated municipal services. Mansfield News Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The USDA issued a public health alert after tests found E. coli in Organic Rancher ground beef sold at Whole Foods (including those in Mansfield) in 27 states. The raw product (made May 22nd and May 23rd, with expiration dates of June 19th and June 20th) is no longer available, and consumers should discard any remaining products. Mansfield News Journal
