Mansfield residents can join free guitar workshops hosted by Richland Academy and Ohio State Mansfield through July 30, with sessions on June 17, June 24, July 8, July 15, July 22 and July 30.

Each 4-4:50 p.m. class features live demonstrations, guided practice (and loaner instruments) by different volunteer musicians.

Students attend Art Exploration Summer Camp to try glass & ceramics, fiber arts, painting and stamping.

The camp runs through the summer and offers young local artists a chance to learn hands-on techniques.

Heavy rains and frequent storms in Mansfield and across Ohio are driven by warming temperatures and a rapid shift to El Niño conditions, as warm Gulf air (bringing increased humidity) meets cooler northern air to form storm corridors that have raised local rainfall this spring.

Fans can follow the Vintage Grand Prix of Mid Ohio at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course near Mansfield — running June 12 to 14.

Today, the 44th annual race features 26 events with pit lane walks, autographs, car shows, and family friendly pricing with free parking for kids under 12.
