- ➤ Richland County athletes competed at the New Balance National Outdoor Championships at Franklin Field from June 19 to 22, where Lexington's Latrell Hughes earned All-American honors in the 800-meter run by finishing fifth nationally. Other athletes from Ontario, Shelby, Clear Fork and Mansfield Middle School placed in relay, steeplechase and field events (including a top-seven finish in the middle school 1-mile run).
