Kingwood Center Gardens hosts the Live on the Lawn series in July with free concerts by local bands and food trucks beginning today (Milo’s Music plays at 7 p.m. with admission from 6:30 p.m.), continuing on July 9, 16, 23, and 30.

Grogu, a 2-year-old boxer mix (News Journal Pet of the Week) has been at the Richland County Dog Warden and Adoption Center since he arrived as a stray in May.

The shelter closed its kennels to visitors on July 1 so people now view available dogs on TV or iPad during operating hours.
