- ➤ Donors, builders, and an architect were honored when Ohio Bird Sanctuary dedicated a new stage Saturday—recognizing the support that made the project possible. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Hundreds attended the long-running block party held by Oasis of Love Church on Mansfield’s North End Saturday morning, where free school supplies, food, games and haircuts were offered before the new school year. Pastor Raymond Cochran Jr.—who said the event was about giving back—added that people from nearby counties also came to learn about local community resources. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Local groups will host the 2025 Newville Childhood Cancer Awareness Golf Outing on Aug. 2 at Pleasant Hill Golf Course to raise funds for 17-month-old Lainey Glover, who faces a rare, aggressive brain cancer. The event features a two-man scramble, auction, raffles and a 50/50 drawing (entry fee of $65 covers green fees, a cart and registration by calling or texting 567-899-4738). Mansfield News Journal
