EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Four Ohio State Mansfield education majors are spending their summer teaching STEAM to youth ages 9 to 18 at military bases nationwide through the We Are Camps program. They lead hands-on lessons with activities like building mini roller coasters and coding robots — visiting bases in North Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and California. - ➤ Ohio residents pursuing teaching careers can apply for the Teachers of Tomorrow New Teacher Scholarship that will cover up to 6,000 dollars in program fees. Applicants must be fully enrolled by Sept. 30 (the apply deadline is Aug. 31) and winners will be announced in October. Mansfield News Journal
