- ➤ Gas prices in Ohio fell last week with regular fuel averaging $2.92 per gallon, down from $3.17 according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The state's price is 6.4% lower than the national average of $3.12. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Ohio’s sales tax holiday will end today at 11:59 p.m.—shoppers must place orders before the deadline to save on most items under $500, and internet orders will receive the discount even if delivered later. Buyers should note that exchanging the same item will remain tax-free after the holiday while returns for different products will be charged sales tax. NBC4i

- ➤ Richland Public Health launched a new program called Look before you Lock - Richland after a 5-year-old died in a hot car in late June in Mansfield—Health Commissioner Dr. Julie Chaya said residents can get free items like a smartphone pad that reminds them to check for children or pets in the car.
