- ➤ Starbucks announced it will shut down its pickup-only stores in 2026, impacting over 80 locations across 20 states and including three stores near college campuses in Ohio. - ➤ Many kids in central Ohio have started school and are getting sick with colds, hand, foot and mouth disease, and other viruses. Health officials say good hygiene—such as washing hands and covering coughs—and keeping sick children at home can help reduce illness spread. NBC4i

- ➤ On Aug. 16, extreme heat forced the shortened OHSAA preseason invitational to end early in Columbus as the Lexington Lady Lex finished second in the Division II girls race—with Katya Prykhodko placing fourth at 20:03.57.
