EDUCATION NEWS

  • Ohio announced on Monday that it would digitize education scholarships by switching from a paper-based system and selecting ClassWallet (a Florida-based company) to manage funding for more than 175,000 students in programs like EdChoice. The new digital system will let students and families apply online for all five state-sponsored programs with reduced paperwork.  NBC4i

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Starting Nov. 3, Mansfield will launch its 2025 leaf collection program where residents may drop off leaves at the Service Complex at 480 Park Avenue East from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.—those opting for curbside collection in Area 1 will have crews working Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and must check in before service.  Mansfield News Journal

  • Kade Beachy showed great mental toughness by bouncing back from a missed penalty + setting up a teammate’s game-winning goal as the Clear Fork Colts won 2 to 1 in overtime, and they will face Elida at 3 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the district championship match.  Mansfield News Journal
