  • Groundwork Ohio honored the Women’s Fund of the Richland County Foundation at its Momentum 2025 conference on Oct. 23 for reducing child care barriers for working women—this award recognizes their investment of $338,000 in making quality child care more affordable and accessible.  Mansfield News Journal

BUSINESS NEWS

  • A New York federal judge ruled in favor of online publishers and advertisers who said Google had too much power over digital ads — supporting claims made by Gannett and smaller news companies. The ruling, which cited earlier findings that showed the tech giant harmed competition and publisher revenue, marked a key win in the antitrust case.  Mansfield News Journal

HEALTH NEWS

  • Nurses at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital have launched a Winter Warmth Drive to collect new coats, hats, gloves and blankets for cancer patients in Richland County who are sensitive to cold. The public can donate items at the Hope Chest located at 330 Glessner Ave and at other OhioHealth facilities in Mansfield and Shelby.  Mansfield News Journal
  • With Halloween just days away, local parents are advised to inspect candy for tampering and check costume and crossing safety before trick-or-treating.
