➤ The Department of Education settled a deal to end the Biden-era SAVE student loan plan, which may force 1.7 million Ohio borrowers to choose a new option. A Repayment Assistance Plan will start on July 1, 2026, pending court approval. Mansfield News Journal

➤ The Richland County Coroner's Office is asking for next of kin information for Mansfield resident Everette E. Marks, 61, who died of natural causes on Dec. 6 — anyone with details is urged to call the office. Mansfield News Journal

HEALTH NEWS

➤ Experts caution adults over 45 to use proper lifting techniques and take breaks when shoveling snow as up to 7 inches is expected through the weekend. The American Heart Association advises anyone with heart conditions to stop and call 911 if chest pain or lightheadedness occurs (especially during heavy exertion). Mansfield News Journal
