- ➤ About 170 children in foster care with Richland County Children Services will receive Christmas presents courtesy of community donations, planned for delivery this Christmas. The initiative aims to brighten the holiday season for these kids. Mansfield News Journal

- ➤ Mechanics Bank honored four employees with its James A. Courtney Award (Dec. 18, 5:10 a.m.), recognizing Johanna Beer, Emily Cline, Abby Kaufman and Abby Snyder for their excellent service. - ➤ Ohio Express has released a 12-track Christmas album and opened an official online store today in Mansfield. The album, produced by Tim Corwin and Warren Sawyer, is available on streaming platforms and the band's website for holiday fans. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Grace Episcopal and First English Lutheran invite residents to join their Christmas Eve candlelight services. Grace Episcopal will host a 4 p.m. family service and an 11 p.m. candlelight service at 41 Bowman St while First English Lutheran will hold services starting at 7 p.m. at 53 Park Avenue West. - ➤ First-generation student Tay Kramer turned setbacks into success at Ohio State Mansfield when she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and earned the Social Work Book Award. She will begin an accelerated master’s program in social work in 2026. Mansfield News Journal

- ➤ Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced on Dec. 18 that Menards settled for $4.25 million over ads that misled customers, and the company must now clearly display its rebate rules while consumers get a year to submit claims; Ohio will receive $365,000 for its Consumer Protection Enforcement Fund. - ➤ Mansfield Police held their annual awards banquet on Dec. 6 to honor five standout team members +civilian, dispatcher, detective, supervisor, and officer+ for their service and leadership.
