- ➤ The Kiwanis Club of Mansfield will host a Talkin’ Cleveland Baseball luncheon and live auction at Der Dutchman Restaurant (720 Ohio 97 West in Bellville) on Feb. 12. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. before the program starts at 11:30 a.m. with $25 tickets that include a lunch buffet benefiting Friendly House’s Afterschool Program. Mansfield News Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Clint Knight has been selected as a faculty member at the Institute for Organization Management, where he will help lead nonprofit training programs today. He also serves as workforce development director at the Richland Area Chamber and Area 10 Workforce Development Board. Mansfield News Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ohio will raise its minimum wage to $11 per hour for non-tipped workers and $5.50 per hour for tipped workers starting Jan. 1 + the increases of 30 cents and 15 cents are tied to an inflation policy from 2006. Mansfield News Journal
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Data from Realtor.com shows that in November houses in Richland County were listed at a median price of $234,500 + a slight rise from October’s $233,075 and a 4.7% increase from last November, with homes spending 45 days on the market compared to a national median of 64 days.
