- ➤ The Madison Local Schools Board of Education approved a teachers’ contract recommendation from an impartial fact-finder’s report—voting 5-0 during a special Monday meeting. The 209 teachers will vote today on the proposal after being without a contract since the school year began. Mansfield News Journal
- ➤ Today the Renaissance Education Department launches its 14th annual MindSprouts Creative Writing Program as part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series with two themes—A Voice to Be Heard for K-8 students and Voices Unheard for grades 9-12—to help local students share their stories. Participants must submit a short story, play or poem by Tuesday, April 15 and selected works will be performed on May 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Theatre. 1812Blockhouse
